Folks in Urban Vision have increasingly sensed a deep call to find Jesus in neighbourhoods of need. It’s a deepening devotion to Jesus that overflows into service and commitment. Maybe you hear that call too? It’s exciting and challenging.
- Urban Vision is possibly for those who have a nagging feeling that ‘there must be more to my faith in Jesus than doing church on Sunday and homegroup on Wednesday’.
- It’s for those who believe they might have a call to be involved in new and unexplored ministries in neglected areas of Aotearoa/New Zealand.
- It is for those who believe ‘christian community’ is more than a homegroup, and that it may be a journey together with other deeply committed believers.
- For those who believe Jesus’ call to love beyond church walls, and to join with others in pioneering expressions of love in neighbourhoods of need.
We believe strongly in the Trade Aid vision of A Just World and in the aim to build Just and Sustainable Communities through Fair Trade. As a church we have chosen to make Fair Trade choices wherever possible.
KBC has been part of the network supporting Freeset in Calcutta, India. Freeset offers real choice to women who have none, the choice to work decent hours for decent pay, to re-establish their dignity in their community and to learn to read and write. Check out the documentary link below.
We are project partners with a team establishing a school in Dhaka.
