This week we begin our preaching series looking at some of the Old Testament characters. It is easy, I think, to overlook the fact that these were real people who lived real everyday lives with their own everyday highs and lows. We are going to spend the next several weeks reflecting on how these people responded to some of the situations that life threw at them. Through their testimonies we can learn and grow in how we might approach similar situations in our own lives.

In preparing for this series I have also been thinking how each of us also have testimonies that are significant and important to share with those around us. We have a story that is evolving. Our story is a gift we can offer those who we mentor and disciple, whether it is just for a single moment or for a season. As we are blessed by the wisdom and failings within the testimonies of these Old Testament characters I hope we can also come to realise more and more the significance of our own story that we can bless others with, as God continues to work in and through us.

On Thursday night we had a get together with the ministries of KBC. It was a really fruitful time hearing about the different ministries around the place. Also, it wasexciting to share the room with so many incredible leaders who are energised by stories and experiences of what Jesus Christ is bringing about by his Spirit in our community! Thank you all for your prayers and involvement in our various areas of ministry. May our family continue to be shaped and shifted by the insights and burdens God is faithfully placing in our hearts and on our minds, which point toward His Kingdom that has come and is coming.
